PGY4

PGY 4 is designed to allow residents more independence in their choice of rotations and experiences.  Elective time allows the resident to design a rotation experience that meets their individual interests.  Residents are encouraged to pick a research project early in their training and the residents may use the fourth year to complete and consolidate their research projects.  Their research is often the topic of their second required Grand Rounds.  There are more teaching opportunities for teaching medical students and residents.
